Scottsdale is expanding small business assistance with a new digital resource center for entrepreneurs
Scottsdale, AZ (Jan. 27, 2021) Choose Scottsdale HUUB, a new one-stop online platform, launched Tuesday to provide support and accelerate recovery efforts of small businesses in Scottsdale. The free platform gives businesses
access to advisors, funding opportunities and other digital learning tools. It also provides a place to connect with other small business owners for support and collaboration.
Scottsdale small businesses contribute greatly to the city's economic vitality and make a substantial impact. The Scottsdale Economic Development Department recognizes the challenges small businesses face during the pandemic and how a business
resource and technical assistance program can have a huge influence on business success and stability.
The Choose Scottsdale HUUB makes expert consultants available to help businesses build websites, organize their books for end-of-year taxes, or navigate the many challenges of business ownership. Those who sign up will also receive a two-year
sponsored Arizona Small Business Association Membership.
Tuesday's virtual event launched the new program and provided stakeholders a look at the many resources available within the platform. Almost 100 participants heard from city staff and HUUB representatives about the benefits of enrolling and the
tools available within the platform.
"Scottsdale businesses have faced the challenges of the pandemic with incredible grit and sacrifice,” said Rob Millar, CEcD, economic development director. "The city of Scottsdale is excited for this new opportunity to support the amazing efforts
of our business community."
