JDA Software Relocates Headquarters to Scottsdale Quarter

SCOTSDALE, Ariz. - Sept 15, 2015 JDA Software Group, Inc.announced today that it will relocate its corporate headquarters to the Scottsdale Quarter complex in Scottsdale, Arizona. Hundreds of Scottsdale-based JDA employees will move into the new space in the first quarter of 2016. JDA is currently headquartered at 14400 North 87th Street in Scottsdale.

JDA Software is widely recognized as the preeminent provider of end-to-end supply chain and omni-channel retail solutions. JDA has made a number of strategic acquisitions in recent years including merging with RedPrairie in 2012, acquiring i2 in 2010, and acquiring Manugistics in 2006. JDA has 70 locations globally and more than 4,500 associates worldwide. JDA, which celebrated its 30 year company anniversary this year, originally moved its headquarters location to the Scottsdale area in 1987, when it counted just a few dozen associates as employees. JDA has been one of the Phoenix area’s most successful technology companies over the past three decades and is one of the largest technology companies headquartered in the greater Phoenix area. JDA counts more than 4,000 manufacturing, logistics and retail customers among its global customer base including 78 of the top 100 retailers1, 78 of the top 100 consumer goods manufacturers2, 8 of the top 10 global 3PLs, and 21 of the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 list.

Located on the fourth and fifth floors of a contemporary office building, JDA’s new 55,000-square-foot headquarters was designed with an open, state-of-the-art environment that fosters teamwork among associates. This open environment reflects JDA strong culture of empowerment and collaboration that is essential to providing innovative solutions for its customer base.

“We are looking forward to transitioning JDA’s corporate headquarters to a more collaborative and open environment that will foster and encourage JDA’s commitment to innovation,” said Bal Dail, CEO and chairman of the board at JDA. “Just as we collaborate with leading retailers, manufacturers and distributors to run their businesses more efficiently and profitably, our associates must also work well together as a team to develop our solutions. We believe this new space will increase productivity and speed at JDA as our associates serve our customers around the world.”

“I am pleased to learn that after careful review of other markets and weighing their options that JDA Software has chosen to remain in Scottsdale,” said Scottsdale Mayor W.J. “Jim” Lane. “I believe that Scottsdale’s lifestyle, quality of life and reputation as a future technology hub are key reasons why great software companies like JDA are choosing to stay or relocate their operations to our great community.“

According to Scottsdale Economic Development, the total three year economic impact to the region is more than $249 million, with estimated personal income tax revenue to the State of Arizona of more than $6.5 million.

“I’d like to thank JDA Software for its continued commitment to and confidence in Arizona,” said Sandra Watson, Arizona Commerce Authority president & CEO. “Companies such as JDA increase our state’s global competitiveness and drive innovation through the creation of high-wage jobs, by attracting and supporting highly skilled talent, and by building forward-thinking technologies that advance other critical industry growth sectors.”

Developed by WP GLIMCHER, Scottsdale Quarter sits on 28 acres at the southeast corner of Scottsdale Road and the Greenway-Hayden Loop. The complex includes over 400,000 square feet of upscale retail, restaurant and entertainment options, as well as 240,000 square feet of class A office space. The new six-story building that will house JDA’s headquarters features contemporary architecture, with high ceilings and open views of the surrounding mountains.

“Our team was excited to work with JDA on both the sale of their headquarters building in Scottsdale and the search and selection of their new office space at Scottsdale Quarter,” said Peter Menna, vice president with DTZ Occupier Services Group. “We were very thoughtful in our approach in finding a location that was modern, open and efficient with excellent amenities, while at the same time securing a building with the stature you would expect for the corporate headquarters of a leading, worldwide software company. The space at Scottsdale Quarter’s new Block M ticked every box, including giving JDA an office location that appeals to current and future employees.”
